Guanella Pass is a great ride that begins in Georgetown, Colorodo where we recommend you stop at a historic restaurant for breakfast before heading up the pass.  There are great dirt options for those looking for easy, intermediate, or harder dirt routes.  This route is a combo paved and dirt route but could be adjusted for a pavement only ride if one was so inclined. Marshall Pass is a beautiful and easy adv ride when the road is dry.  You'll ride pavement to get to Marshall Pass.  Once on the road up Marshall Pass you'll be riding dirt.  The top of the pass is high and if there has been recent rain or snow you'll facing some deep water holes and mud.  This can get pretty rough if things are recently wet so keep that in mind.  What is considered easy can very quickly become treacherous and extremely difficult when you add water to the mix!  Ride it dry or mostly dry and you'll have a very nice ride.  Ride this when it's fairly wet and you've been warned, you will be working hard to get over this pass in quite a few spots.
