Marshall Pass is a beautiful and easy adv ride when the road is dry. You’ll ride pavement to get to Marshall Pass. Once on the road up Marshall Pass you’ll be riding dirt. The top of the pass is high and if there has been recent rain or snow you’ll facing some deep water holes and mud. This can get pretty rough if things are recently wet so keep that in mind. What is considered easy can very quickly become treacherous and extremely difficult when you add water to the mix! Ride it dry or mostly dry and you’ll have a very nice ride. Ride this when it’s fairly wet and you’ve been warned, you will be working hard to get over this pass in quite a few spots.
Why do we love this ride?
The scenery is breathtaking.
The ride is easy if the road is dry and offers beautiful views.
You will ride this at a pace that suits your riding style. Want to ride dirt fast? You can! Want to slow down and enjoy the views and wildlife? You can do that too!
The camping is dispersed relaxing and on the west side generally not crowded. There are campgrounds on the east side if you prefer a more comfortable camping experience.
You’ll cross the Continental Divide at least twice if you ride in from the east.
When you just over the top there are rest and restroom facilities if you need them.
There are plenty of places to pull of the road and take in the scenery.
