Winter Park to Steamboat Springs Motorcycle GPS Route.

October 1, 2019 |

This past weekend my wife and I headed up to Winter Park to view more of the fall color and aspen leaf change here in Colorado. It was beautiful to say the least. We were right at peak on 9/29/19 for the aspen viewing in this area. Since this was a leaf viewing getaway we ended up making a long drive of it heading from Winter Park into North Park and then over to Steamboat Springs and back to Denver. We ended up on a nice dirt stretch and the entire route was very beautiful. I decided to put this together as a fantastic easy adv ride that will include some easy dirt road riding. The scenery on this route is outstanding and it changes every few miles. The roads are winding and full of Colorado goodness for the motorcycle enthusiast. You’ll spend most of your time on pavement but…    read more

What is the best Adventure Bike?

September 25, 2019 |

The question of what is the best adventure bike is kind of like the question what is the best camera? It boils down to the one you’re going to use. I have a friend that rides a heavy ass Harley Davidson on crazy adv routes. She’s even take it over Cinnamon Pass which was insane. I wouldn’t recommend that. For me I find that like cameras I can’t find the perfect adventure bike. I want a bike I can ride on the highway to get me to the trails I want to ride. I want to be able to use the same bike to ride the trails and then come home on the…    read more

Coal Creek Canyon to Estes Park

September 24, 2019 |

Took a motorcycle ride up Coal Creek Canyon to the Peak to Peak highway and followed that to Estes Park on 9/22/19. This route is always beautiful! The weather was sunny ranging from 71 degrees in Denver to about 55 degrees in Estes Park. It was a sunny day with a little wind. The aspen leaves along the route are about 7-10 days away from peaking and there is a good amount of yellow in the trees along the route. A paving project from Allens Park into Estes Park has been completed and the road which last year was somewhat miserable to ride is now smooth! What does that mean? You get to spend less time avoiding potholes and crevices and more time enjoying the scenery. I would estimate we saw at least 25-30 other riders out enjoying a beautiful fall day in the Rocky Mountains. On the way back…    read more
